Livable, Project-Driven Design
Mayers Architecture does not have a “signature” look: Our designs are synthesized from the complex and often competing requirements of the client’s program and aspirations, resident and property management needs, the community context, budget, and schedule, all wrapped in an aesthetic and environmentally responsible package.

We constantly evaluate the various parameters, identifying and communicating to the client the advantages and disadvantages between options, until we arrive at the optimum solution.

As evidence, please note that the awards that Larry’s projects have garnered tend to be those awarded by funders, agencies, and project users. Click on the links below for some examples…

"While all architects claim to understand their client’s needs, many pursue their own design agenda. The resulting tension between project design, funding constraints, and program requirements can turn a dream project into an affordable housing nightmare."

"Larry’s approach is different. He truly puts his client’s needs first. The result is an elegant, often ingeniously cost-effective design that satisfies the myriad of building code, local design, accessibility, green building, and other project requirements."

~ Bill Pickel, Executive Director of West Bay Housing Corporation, and former Director of Real Estate Development for Christian Church Homes.
